i have used it for 6 months or so and haven't had any problems. it is pretty easy to use and directly linked to my checking account, so i don't even have to transfer funds.

I am a newbie here so forgive me if you already know this. If you are looking to trade just plain vanilla stocks, BoA is probably fine. If you want to trade essentially everything, for very very low commissions, take a look at http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/main.php
